Displaced In Tijuana
Displaced In Tijuana
The issues surrounding migration at the U.S.-Mexico border are more polarizing than ever before. However, the stories of the families who are displaced waiting anxiously to gain asylum in the United States seems to go untold. I spent time witnessing the daily routines of the migrants who live at Embajadores de Jesus, a migrant shelter in Tijuana. The shelter, run by Pastor Gustavo, provides a safe haven for up to 1000 migrants as they pass through Mexico, hopelessly navigating the geo-political climates of their home countries.

I specialize in people, capturing them and understanding them- giving voice to their stories. Photographing is an authentic form of communication for me- I trust its power implicitly.
