Snake River

A glacier river tries to find its way to the ocean in South Iceland. Many of my locations were not planned in advance and I found them by mere coincidence. This magic place is one of these, not being at all among the tourist attractions of Iceland. I drove around the shore and saw the river from the road, wondering how it gets to the water. When I got my drone off, I saw this incredible almost optical illusion. After checking the maps afterwards, I realized that this pattern is just temporary, aerial maps from other periods showed a very different image. So, I was very lucky

I do fine art photography of landscapes, nature and industrial worlds taken by drone from the air. They reveal beauty, rhythm, strangeness and gateways to other worlds where they cannot be seen from the ground. I take pictures partly for pleasure, partly out of curiosity and partly to get the creative overload off. I exhibit in countries around the world and every so often score in a competition.
