Incommunic-able (a coffee together)

The Incommunic-able (a coffee together) project is a work in progress that investigates the situations in which communication between the individuals of a family unit is lacking.
During the shooting, I asked the participants in this project to relive those circumstances, placing them in the frame that represents the convivial situation par excellence, the coffee break.
This pause, in the daily life represented here, often becomes a routine without communication, which exacerbates the difficulties of being together.
The result is a series of ironic and surreal photographs, of refined theatricality, which stage a game in which the subjects portrayed represent themselves, in a performance that makes them actors and spectators, at the same time, of their moments of incommunicability.

I began to be interested in photography in 2011 by attending courses and workshops in schools in Milan and subsequently by self-taught. After several experiences with some photographic studios in Bergamo and Brescia, I chose to dedicate myself to my personal artistic research through the exploration of languages ​​and themes more similar to my interests. In particular, for a few years, through the use of staged photography, I have begun to investigate some aspects of relationships in the family context. At the same time, I became passionate about architectural photography and urban photography with research on "looking at the city" and its photo-graphic interpretation, on marginal places and "expectations".
