Roots
I have wondered for years how to tell this story. As I age I am more and more aware of the generations that came before and the generations that will come after. The generations that were interrupted by war, the generations that grew because of the end of war, the generations of women that have seen changes in their places in society and passed on the wisdom they have learned. What will grow from the seeds that have been planted in the past and the seeds that are being planted now. What knowledge (the apple represents knowledge) and what keys will we give to help the generations following us?
Author
In my lifetime I have been daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, widow and partner. Never in those year did I take photographs (except for family memories). 7 years ago my partner gave me a camera and in 2020 we renovated the old wood shop into a studio. My goal has always been to learn to tell the stories that have been rattling around in my brain for years.
I don't have a specialty but prefer art centered around Fine Arts. This may be portrait, self portrait (after all I am always available and understand the instructions), still life or conceptual with the idea of telling stories.
My work has been displayed in the mediterranean House of Photography in Barcelona, and in Paris (State of the World and Der Greif), published in Fotonostrum Magazine and Der Greif Magazine, and have been honored to receive various awards in Budapest, IPA, Julia Margaret Cameron (overall winner non professional) Pollux Awards, Siena, and PX 3 State of the World.
